JOB OPPORTUNITIES IN THE OIL AND GAS SECTOR
An indigenous company in the Oil and Gas sector has an opportunity for hardworking, goals driven, focused, creative and qualified candidates that can cope in a fast paced environment, to fill the following positions. The positions are location/offshore based and therefore on equal rotation basis.
1.         Production Facility Supervisor
The successful candidate will be able to direct, plan and supervise assigned production facility projects including design, construction, renovation, or replacement of office, and site infrastructure facilities job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability of operations. Coordinates diverse activities within a functional area
Required qualification and skills are typically a bachelors degree in engineering or a related field and 3 years of experience in technically related facility
2.         Production Operator
Under supervision assist with pre-job product and service equipment preparation (assembly, test, mobilize) and product installation at the well site. Assist with post-job mobilization, clean up and repair of service equipment and products. Demonstrate knowledge and skills related to HSE related activities – site assessments and risk analyses, onsite safety meetings, PPE use, documentation, etc.
A degree or HND in any engineering related course, plus at least two years work experience on any project
3.         Production Maintenance (Mechanical)
Under direct supervision assist in a variety of task in support of general maintenance. Performs maintenance and repair tasks as directed on all mechanical related systems. Assist in completing and maintaining plant maintenance documentation, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean-up and housekeeping activities.
Skills are typically acquired possession of at least a Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 2 years of experience
4.         Production Maintenance (Electrical)
Under direct supervision assist in a variety of task in support of general maintenance. Performs maintenance and repair tasks as directed on all electrical related systems. Assist in completing and maintaining plant maintenance documentation, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean-up and housekeeping activities.
Skills are typically acquired possession of at least a Higher National Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 2 years of experience
5.         Production Superintendent
Coordinates and oversees single or multiple units functions at the well site and base camp. Routinely works in a well site and base camp as assigned, and provides the planning necessary for the job including equipment set up, well direction, and customer related support activities.
           
Requires knowledge typically associated with 3-5 years of experience with an engineering degree
6.         Site Nurse
The candidate should possess the ability to supervise and provides nursing and Health and Safety services to employees or persons on premises of an occupational setting. Responds and cares for general aiiments, injuries and emergency health situation. He/she should assists in the company's health/wellness examination programs. Present relevant information to employees on health/safety education and illness prevention, via private setting or group training seminar. Skills are typically acquired through possession of a Licensed practical Nurse license and minimum of 2 years of experience in nursing which includes experience in occupational health setting.
7.         General Manager – Drilling Fluid Engineer
            Role Definition:
Manage all activities related to drilling fluid services, technical personnel via personnel assignments job or project management, administration and technical support. Be customer focused, strategy minded and in a comfortable position to drive corporate vision.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Lead multiple Mud Logging operations for the purpose of ensuring the delivery of quality customer service, world class safety and business segment efficiency
  • Maintain customer contacts for the purpose of assessing local needs and service quality
  • Work closely with the business development manager to develop local service pricing strategies
  • Co-ordinates and review employee development and training needs
  • Leads, communicates and motivates all mud logging personnel.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in preferred
  • 10 years experience in an oilfield operations environment
  • Through understanding of processes and procedures relating to drilling fluids and laboratory services.
POSITIONS 1-6 SHOULD BE PREPARED TO WORK OFFSHORE AND LAND LOCATIONS
  • Previous Oil & Gas sector experience is an added advantage
