Midwestern Oil and Gas Company Limited - Operator of the Umugini pipeline, is a wholly indigenous Oil and Gas company in the upstream sector.
We seek to hire a competent professional and self-motivated talent to fill the below position in our pipeline operations:


Job Title: LACT Operator

Location:
 Nigeria

Role Summary

  • To operate the LACT Unit to ensure accurate crude oil delivery into third party manifold, safely and within agreed specification
Principal Accountabilities
  • To operate, maintain and carrying out daily checks on all the equipments on the LACT UNIT and prover Loop at specified intervals as may be determined by the company SOP
  • Hourly tracking and documentation of the installed custody transfer meters, inline auto sampler, line pressures and other instruments on the LACT UNIT in other to ensure they are performing at their optimal level
  • Ensure Bi-hourly manual sampling and analysis of the pipeline crude oil samples and liaise with designated parties during control sample catching and storage
  • Catching of daily sample from the Auto sampler for analysis and resetting the auto sampler for a new day run
  • Preparation & computation of daily production report and transmitting them along with the computer printout from the control unit to designated parties
  • First level Maintenance of Auto Sampler unit
  • Responding and troubleshooting alarm signals from the control units and rectifying abnormal conditions
  • To oversee all operation and maintenance activities within the location and report to the maintenance and operation supervisor
  • Provide regular and necessary feedback on all measurement issues at the LACT UNIT to designated authorities in other to ensure that the LACT UNIT is operated arid maintained at 100% availability level
  • Monitor and ensure the Lab Technologist carry out accurate monitoring of crude oil quality BS&W, API etc.
  • Support the metering engineers /vendors in keeping records of calibration changes, modifications and test equipment certificates on the LCFUNIT to ensure they comply with the government regulations always through scheduled re-certifications
  • Ensure that all operations at the LACT UNIT follow lay down principle & guidelines and conforms to the company’s safety, environments and quality policies
Qualifications
  • B.Sc (Hons) or HND in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Petroleum and other related engineering disciplines
  • Experience in oil and gas industry operations, minimum of 5 years’ experience
Skills:
  • Experience in oil and gas production operations;
  • Demonstrate knowledge of mechanical and fluid flow principles,
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations required
  • Computer skills including Excel, Word, and Outlook required
  • Automation experience and hands on troubleshooting experience is helpful
  • Good in written and verbal communication skill

Job Title: Community Relations Officer

Location:
 Nigeria

Role Summary

  • Coordinate arid supervise the implementation of the development programmes in the communities (physical projects as maybe directed by the company).
Principal Accountabilities
  • To provide counsel and guideline and recommend protocol, procedure and actions to facilitate effective interactions with government departments, ministries and agencies on the interpretation of company’s various agreements and regulations.
  • To monitor the implementation of Early Warning Systems and community surveillance system for timely anti conflict action and ensure coordination and monitoring of company’s community development programmes
  • Promote an enabling environment that would enhance operational effectiveness of the company without disruption to the host community
  • Holds periodic meetings with the CLOs, chiefs, government agencies and other stakeholders on conflict management and resolutions
  • Promotes and proactively manages the image of the company to various segments of the public government agencies, groups and media
Qualifications
  • B.Sc (Hons) in Administration and Secretarial Studies

Job Title: Right of Way Surveillance Officer

Location: Nigeria
Role Summary


  • To carry out and supervise all activities involved in multiple layers of surveillance and maintenance long the right of way.
Principal Accountabilities
  • Right of way surveillance and maintenance (e.g. signpost test post, grass cutting, etc.)
  • Incident management ,reporting and follow-through
  • Multiple contract development and management
  • People and systems communication management
  • Leak detection system management
  • Logistics management
  • Community relationship management
Qualifications
  • First degree in Social Sciences or other related discipline
  • Minimum of 4 years' cognate experience in the Oil and Gas industry
  • Experience or HOW surveillance and regulatory body
  • Military or paramilitary background will be an added advantage

Job Title: Maintenance and Operations Supervisor

Location:
 Nigeria

Role Summary

  • To coordinate the activities of the LACT maintenance and operations personnel monitor the leak detection facility to ensure accurate crude oil delivery into transport pipeline and into third party manifold, safely and within agreed specification.
Principal Accountabilities
  • To man the leak detection facility in the control room GGF, and take prompt action to avert pipeline operation disruption, providing 100% availability
  • Coordinate the activities of LACT operation and maintenance personnel
  • Ensure adequate repair inventories for the LACT equipment and all rotating and static equipment
  • Interface with cluster company personnel to ensure optimum crude delivery into the pipeline within set operating parameters
  • Carry out daily weekly and monthly crude allocation reconciliation with the cluster companies and other parties pipeline
  • Preparation of surveillance report on the pipeline base on onsite and offsite monitoring
  • Work with contractor/vendor for pipeline maintenance when necessary
  • Supervises contractors during pigging operation of the pipeline
  • Ensure that all operations at LACT UNIT follow lay down principle & guidelines and conforms to the company’s safety, environments quality policies, government regulations
Qualifications
  • B.Sc (Hons) or HND in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Petroleum and other related engineering disciplines
  • Must have Experience in oil and gas industry operations, with minimum of 10 years experience
Skills:
  • Experience in oil and gas production operations; demonstrate knowledge of mechanical and fluid flow principles,
  • Good Computer skills including Excel, Word, other oil and gas monitoring software
  • Automation experience and hands on troubleshooting experience is helpful good in written and verbal communication skill


Job Title: Accountant

Location:
 Nigeria

Role Summary

  • Responsible for providing timely and accurate accounting and financial reports, Budget management business integration and team building, Directs the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, and manages commercial activities
Principal Accountabilities
  • Managing preparation and review of statutory financial statements.
  • Improves the processes related to the timeliness of the Company’s periodic and annual financial reports.
  • Liaises with statutory audits
  • Preparing internal management reports for senior management and assist with preparation of presentations.
  • Documenting and testing financial reporting controls
  • Coordinating periodic reviews of financial reporting activities
  • Assisting in coordinating with the chief financial officer and internal audit, the review of controls by all departments

Job Title: HSE Officer
Location:
 Nigeria

Role Summary

  • Development of all the required documentation, operational checks and reports for the HSE management of system including corrective and preventive measures
Principal Accountabilities
  • Reporting directly to the UACL Operations Manager to support the day to day HSE management and long range stewards p of the HSE in UACL Operations.
  • Participating in hazard identification and risk assessment of projects on the pipeline and appurtenances
  • Carrying out audits in accordance with the Annual Audit Programme
  • Providing HSE support during projects
  • Ensuring regular checks are performed on portable Firefighting, Safety and Emergency equipment by relevant service providers, and ensuring equipment at Eriemu LACT station is sent for repair and maintenance when required.
  • Participating in incident investigations
  • Analysis and reporting of HSE performance data
  • Ensuring regular weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports are accurately compiled & sent to Head of UACL Pipeline Operations
  • Carrying out Safety Inductions for new personnel onboard
Qualifications
  • Degree level (HND or B.Sc or B.Eng. in Safety or Natural/Physical Sciences or Engineering)
  • General HSE certificate
  • HSE Competence Development Course Certificate
  • Possession of NEBOSH International General Certificate
  • Candidate should have at least 5 Years HSE experience within the oil and gas industry 3 of which preferably should be in pipeline safety supervision.
Skills:

Knowledge required includes:

  • A thorough understanding of Pipeline HSE regulations/standards and the regulatory process with excellent analytical skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good presentation skills
  • Has the ability to effectively interact with all levels of staff, Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel PowerPoint)
  

Job Title: Maintenance Technologist
Location:
 Nigeria

Role Summary

  • Services, maintains and repairs mechanical equipment (Generators, pumps, motors, compressors, Meters etc) used in oil and gas production and processing.
Principal Accountabilities
  • To carrying out daily checks and maintain logs on all rotating and static equipment for the LACT Generators, compressor and pumps to ensure constant equipment availability.
  • Carry out schedule maintenance on the LACT UNIT and prover Loop equipment strainers, transfer pump Auto sampler etc.
  • Ensure adequate spares for the smooth running of the facility
  • Carryout maintenance of camp and control room building facility
  • Follow maintenance and repairs procedures as per specified standards to ensure integrity and safety of mechanical systems and equipment
  • Carry out routine maintenance checks and report/
  • Troubleshoot breakdowns and resolve any faults or abnormalities of equipment.
  • Responsible for implementing effective equipment maintenance/overhaul of specified equipment in accordance with company and vendor procedures so as to facilitate maximum reliability, availability and safety of the equipment (Generators, valves, compressors, pumps, piping etc.)
  • Notify supervisor about any recurring problems related to the availability or quality of spares parts
Qualifications
  • B.Sc (Hons) or HND Mechanical Engineering
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in oil and gas operating environment
Skills:
  • Ability to work with less supervisors
  • Must be computer literate
  • Ability to carry out maintenance forecast
  • Demonstrable ability in repair and overhauling heavy duty diesel generators, air compressors and pumps to eliminate down time and must be good in written and verbal communication skill





Job Title: Coordinator, Shared Support Services
Location:
 Nigeria

Role Summary

  • To ensure deliverables by MWOG units supporting UACL operations are met in a timely manner, and to guarantee a seamless working relationship with the respective MWOG units.
Principal Accountabilities
  • Liaise with the relevant departments providing shared services in Midwestern (e.g. HR, Procurement, Legal, IT, Internal Audit, Materials, Corporate Affairs and Govt. Liaison) and ensure deliverables are met in a timely manner
  • Instruct the relevant support units within Midwestern of required services in line with UACL agreed timelines
  • Ensure adequate provision of office supplies for UACL personnel
  • Maintain an effective medium of communication and close collaboration among UACL staff
  • Receive important mails, documents and ordered items forwarded to the Company’s address
  • Maintain aproper filing system for UACL documents and ensure confidentiality is achieved at all times
  • Plan flight bookings and logistics for UACL personnel for official travel
  • Be responsible for minute taking at UACL general meetings
  • Any other additional responsibilities that may be required
Requirements
Qualifications/Years of Experience:

  • First degree in Arts or Social Science discipline (minimum of 2:2)
  • Not less than 4 years working experience
Skills:
  • Experience in administrative and personal/executive assistant functions
  • Good IT skills, particularly use of Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
  • Good interactive, communication, organizational, and time management skills required
