MASSIVE RECRUITMENT AT JAGAL GROUP - 2015

E&I SUPERINTENDENT
PURPOSE/ROLE:
To supervise all activities of E&I Technicians on both platforms (OFD3 and OFD5) ensuring that E&I installations are successfully executed and implemented as per Client/Project Specifications with zero injuries and/or downtime.
KEY AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:
Ensure construction works meet Client/Project Specifications.
Provide onsite solutions to challenges and problems encountered during installation of E&I packages and equipment.
Make Red-line mark ups as per site determined modifications.
Monitor man-power allocation in line with work progress.

PRIME RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Develop and maintain a Material Delivery Schedule for all installation materials and equipment to be delivered to site as at when due in order to ensure a logical sequence of work progress.
Ensure materials listing in work packs are correct and quantities requested are in line as per overall quantities procured.
Provide technical advice and solutions to challenges/problems where on-site situations vary from detailed engineering documentation, with the approval of the E&I Construction Manager.
Developing a site access plan as per available work-fronts for the Commissioning Team during testing of completed Electrical, Instrument and Telecom installations on a system-by- system basis.
Liaising with Fabrication to ensure timely availability of respective E&I Supports for installation to avoid potential delays to mounting and installation of equipment and packages.
Review of Red-line mark ups issue by Field Supervisors as per site determined modifications and issuing same to Engineering for preparation of As-Built Drawings (ASB).

THE PERSONS:
The right candidate should possess hands on field experience in Electrical and Instrumentation Project Installations, Electrical Systems/PLC controls, Instrumentation and must be Computer literate with good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word.
The right candidate should also possess a minimum of 6 (six) years of experience having supervised, partaken and engaged in Oil & Gas Construction and Pre-commissioning activities particularly of offshore Oil & Gas Production Platforms with good knowledge of Production systems, Gas lift & Water Injection systems, Manifolds etc.
FUMIGATION TEAM MEMBER
PURPOSE
Ensure that pest infestations are prevented whenever possible and controlled when necessary using cost effective methods that minimize environmental impact.

• Carry Out Pest investigation on ND Site areas
PRIME RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
• Carry out fumigation/pest control for all types of pest in conjunction with the Safety Supervisor
• Carry out fumigation in a safe manner and report to management any potential risks before carrying out required work
• Estimation/inspection of insect and rodent contamination in required building
• Any other manual tasks set by supervisor
• Clean all equipment after use
• Wear correct PPE for all types of pest control
• Defect reporting to Supervisor
• Report for duty on time as per daily shift roster
• Maintain a high standard of hygiene at all times and ensure that you clean as you go, especially at the end of each shift

CLEANER – GROUND

To clean and maintain the Housing Estate and surrounding areas

CRANE OPERATOR
PURPOSE
To perform various duties associated with the operation of cranes
PRIME RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
• Performs the functions of operating a variety of cranes.
• Understands and follows all safety rules and proper procedures associated with the responsibilities of the job.
• Use the equipment for the functions which had been prepared and determined by the direct superior.
• Performs safety inspection of crane, wire rope, hooks, slings and rigging as required. Daily maintenance of the crane including completion of daily check list
• Daily maintenance of the crane including completion of daily check list.
• Operation of various types of cranes, all terrain cranes up to 250 and hydraulic Truck mounted & RT cranes up to 80 ton.
•  Performing other related duties such as changing a wheel, assisting a fitter, assisting in loading or unloading operations.
• Participate in rigging operations and ascertain that rigging equipment is in safe working condition.
THE PERSON
• Holding crane operator driving license.
• Qualify to drive mobile cranes and other equipment.
• 5 years of field experience is required.
• Must have a background in cranes and rigging, read load charts.
• Operator must be able to show proof of past history of operating.
FORKLIFT OPERATOR
PURPOSE
Holding Heavy equipment driver licences and qualify to operate Forklift in various capacities from 3 Ton to 10 Ton
PRIME RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
• Loading and unloading of materials and movement of the same.
• Talent to operate all brands of Forklifts , e.g. TCM, Caterpillar, Komatsu, etc.
• Performs the functions of driving for Forklift.
• Understands and follows all safety traffic rules and proper procedures associated with the responsibilities of the job.
• Use the Forklift for the functions which had been prepared and determined by the direct superior.
THE PERSON
• Certification in operating Forklift is a mandatory
• At least two years of field experience with the Forklift
PIPE FITTER FOREMAN
QUALIFICATION:
Relevant trade test(s) and SSCE.
Higher qualifications are added advantages.
PRIME RESPONSIBILITIES:
Trade Test Certification. 1&2 labour & productivity or Engineering background.
Years of Experience – 4 years and above.
Good safety practices i.e.  Understanding of HSE.
Ability to read and interprete isometric drawings, P & IDS.
Ability to understand and interpret simple and complex pipe fabrication drawing
Conversant with abbreviations, signs & codes.
Ability to identify fittings & materials.
Marking out and layout of drawings.
Good understanding of piping spools orientation, elevations, co-ordinates & piping copping.
Ability to take measurements, do conversions, plates & piping calculations.
Bending of Isometric directions, preparation of plates & piping length of bevelled.
Use of grinding machine & burning set.
Must understand tools and equipment management.
Must have good attitude and behaviour.
Ability to use all fabrication /Fitting equipment and instrument
Awareness of safety rules and standard of the industry.
Experience:
5- 8 years minimum working experience in the fabrication field.
Must have worked on a Pipe erection project.
Working experience on an EPC project will be an additional advantage
TECHNICAL CLERK
PURPOSE
Clerk must complete the tasks of technical support and of administrative service.
PRIME RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Organizing and maintaining a system, according to the project requirements
Keeping a record of the personnel training and security
Scheduling and writing the progress reports
Reviewing of the technical documentation
Compiling of special reports, studies that consists of data analysis
Creating of databases and any other job related to it
Complete assigned jobs within time frame

MATERIAL CONTROLLER
PURPOSE
To plan Material availability and effective allocation of Materials to various projects within ND
KEY AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
Monitoring and Control of Project Materials
Handling, Identification, Transportation, Storage, Preservation and Issuance of Project Materials
PRIME RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Receiving, Verification and segregation of Project Materials in accordance with Project procedures
Verification of  received Materials against Way Bill / Packing List
Mark assigned UIDs on Materials
Follow-up and co-ordinate physical verification (ensure visibility of UIDs and traceability information) on all materials.
Upon receipt of MIVs Identify required materials to be issued
Efficient control of stock and offcuts.
Receives returned offcuts from fabrications
Notify Material Coordinators of any discrepancies / Non conformances
Ensure that all relevant safety, quality and environmental procedures and controls are adhered to.
Ensure adherence to all departmental policies, processes and standard operating procedures.
Tagging and identification of material
THE PERSON
A minimum of Secondary School certificate with a will to further his/her knowledge.
Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in Materials Handling, Material control and Inventory. (Relevant Industry experience(s) a plus)
Direct experience in the utilization of computerized inventory control systems
Computer literacy
Must be proactive and a Self-Starter.
Good Team Player and able to work in a challenging environment with minimal supervision
Knowledge of the use of forklift or any Material Handling equipment would be an asset.

DIRECTOR OF FABRICATION
PURPOSE / ROLE
Take the lead role in all Fabrication and Construction activities, ensuring that resources, manpower and skills are in place to deliver project requirements safely, on time, within budget and to the desired quality standard.

To take Nigerdock to the next level of growth & development in fabrication management by providing leadership and strategy to the fabrication and construction group.
Prime responsibilities and duties
The primary responsibilities for this role will include, but not limited to, the following:
Full responsibility for profit & loss for the Fabrication and Construction division.
Providing clear business plans and strategies for growth.
Manage the overall fabrication operations by offering technical and commercial leadership
Responsible operationally to ensure the delivery of:
Appropriate Quality Management processes and procedures, compliant with ISO 9001 requirements.
Ensure Fabrication and Construction departments meet all HSSE and QA/QC regulations and are strictly followed to ensure all employees are working in a safe environment.
Ensure all tools are available so that quality, cost and schedule targets can be met.
Ensure effective resourcing planning is implemented and that resource skills match current and future resource requirements through training.
Able to guide the team of workshop managers, production planning engineers, supervisors and technicians in process improvement techniques and continuous improvement programs
Capable of identifying costs such as indirect, direct, fixed, variable, capital etc. in order to arrive at actual cost of production for all processes involved in the fabrication operations in consultation with Accounts Department so that preparation of estimates for both internal and external clients can be facilitated.
Capable of guiding the team in the preparation of tenders.
Familiar with all aspects of fabrication factory management including manpower & material planning, process optimization and adoption of industry best practices etc.
Review documents relating to production processes, procedures and policies and amend them as necessary to enhance the overall efficiency and profitability of the business.
Acquire, motivate and develop the team including recruitment of additional personnel and organizing mentoring and job-specific training in consultation with HR department, ensuring that the Company’s commitment to National Content Development are met.
Ensure that the Fabrication division develops maintains and constantly improves its relationship with key third party sub-contractors and JV partners as required to deliver the service.
Defines and elaborates the scope of work for external contracting and in-house execution for all phases of the work.

THE PERSON
The ideal candidate will have at least 20 years’ experience of oil and gas multi-discipline fabrication and construction projects execution. In addition, you must have:
A minimum of at least 5 years in the position of the full operation of a large fabrication yard.
Must have significant experience at a senior level within a medium sized company having delivered to Blue Chip clients or a blue chip organization with specific accountabilities in integrated fabrication yard operations and the associated financial and commercial management of the yard.
Experience of International based assignments with demonstrable evidence of being able to mentor other nationals effectively and be committed to mentoring locals.
Be able to demonstrate highest delivery standards in management of Quality Assurance and HSE.
University degree in a related field is essential.
WELDER
PRIME RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Ability to weld all position of welding such as 3G, 4G, 6G & 6GR on SMAW/FCAW on both plate and pipe.
Study engineering drawings and blueprints to determine materials requirements and task sequences.
Welding spare parts in various directions: flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead, etc.;
Supervising and identifying any fault in operating the equipment or in relation to any material or equipment, then notifying the supervisors;
Clamping, holding, tack-welding, heat-bending, bolting, or grinding spare parts as necessary to satisfy the technical requirements and create a welded final product;
Operating other accessory equipments and performing some tasks necessary for welding metal, such as fusing metal segments, using gas tungsten arc, metal arc, flux-cored arc, and other types of welding arcs;
Examining finish products and spare parts and comparing them with samples to check whether the specifications are met;
Being in charge of preparing and setting up necessary tools and equipments for welding job such as shielded metal arc, gas metal arc or other welding equipments
THE PERSON
Relevant trade test(s) and SSCE. Higher qualifications are added advantages.
Working experience on an EPC project will be an additional advantage
3 -5 years minimum, in major Oil & Gas EPC projects, must possess vast Knowledge in the fabrication industry.
Safety certificate (general) and other safety certification will be an added advantage.
